DJ Andrew,

The 3.8 is fast, but in my humble opinion, nothing beats the 2.6 motor. Its the OPTIMUM speed for the weight of a bitcharg, and provides the best ratio of speed vs. handling. Anything faster just throws steering out the window.

HOWEVER, withthe new aluminum rims available, it just might add enough weight to the car to make steering manageable at 3.0 or greater.

Hey all,

I just got a dB body and I found that it is easier to do 180 degree spinouts in either direction with it.

Maybe it has something to do with the heavier weight in the back or the height of the body.

Anyone else notice this? This is in comparison to the car's original Skyline body.

Dont get a mini-z or nitro, get an Epoch Indoor racer 1/43 scale RC!! Made by Kyosho too. They are "smaller" than mini-Z's, but have the same parts assembly as a 1/10 or 1/12th scale car. 300km/h scale speed! But if you insist on a 1/24th scale, get the newer mini-X's not the mini-Z's.

I went to the website www.bitcharg.co.uk and it said that only standard AA batteries should be used. If Duracel plus or High grades batteries are used the part inside the Bit Char-g that holds the energy burns out. Is this true? If I buy a Bit Char-G I don't want to wreck it. PLEASE REPLY!

The official UK Bit Char-G cars called Compact Charger were due out in May but they've been delayed due to technical difficulties.

They will be priced at £24.99

The Bullet cars sold on ToyEast.com are a cheaper alternative to the TOMY versions. They look good and they use a hard antenna compared to a 'whip' antenna on the TOMY Bit Char-G. They're not as well made, but you can use Bit Char-G parts on them. I've also heard that a basic OEM Bullet is slightly faster than a basic Bit Char-G.

Hope that's of some help.

Martin

Hi People,
You may wish to know about an online retailer in the UK who is charging silly money for Bit Char-G cars and accessories.

Bitcharg.co.uk (not my site bitchar-g.co.uk) is selling cars at around £50 each (plus shipping) and 3.0 engines at £29.99 each.

The 3.0 engines can be purchased from other online retailers such as ToyEast.com for under £5.00 plus shipping.

BE AWARE OF THE PRICES.

Buying from a reputable non-UK Internet retailer is just as safe as giving out your credit card in a restaurant.

This is the end of the public service announcement.

There is a Bit-Charg copy for sale in the United States. It is from a company called Atomic Toys LLC, from San Diego, California. Their website is http://www.atomictoys.com. They call their cars "Z-Cars R/C". I think they contracted with Tomy's Chinese manufacturer to produce these for sale in the U.S. (By the way, I got official word from Tomy they will not import/distribute Bit-Charg cars to the US. Probably because of FCC regualtions. Their loss!!)Essentially it is an near exact copy of Tomy's Bit-Charg cars with a few differences. The differences is that the chassis is clear plastic instead of black, they added a red LED light to the car which comes on when the car goes, the transmitter is egg shaped and the car can be stored inside the transmitter, you can turn on the annoying optional car sound and light effects on the transmitter, the antenna on the transmitter is the more traditional telescoping retractable antenna which give better transmitter range than the Bit-Charg and all this for...$20.00 US! I purchased mine from Hobby People, a chain retail hobby shop in the western United States, but you can order direct from Atomic Toys. You can't beat this price! Unfortunately, it is limited to 27MHz only and two body styles. One is the Toyota Celica in red and the other is the Mercedes Benz C-Class Coupe in Silver/Black two tone. They also don't have the huge hole in the back window for the receiver antenna. Unfortunately the Mercedes body does not fit on my Bit-Charg chassis because...it's too small! Quality is lower than Tomy's product, but parts are interchangeable, except the bodies. It runs a little rougher with lots of gear noise compared to the Bit-Charg (appears to be lower quality cast pinion gear). Box art is not as professional-looking as Tomy's. Atomic Toys show they have accessories similar to Tomy's, but I have yet to see them. Overall an excellent value! Now it don't have to go back to Japan to get more Bit-Charg cars for my friends. They can go to the hobby shop for themselves!

Comes with mini screw driver to unscrew controller battery door.
Based on model, the operating frequencies are: 57, 45, 35, 27

Box packaging is 100% in English
Box is same size and shape as Bit char-g

Wholesale pricing available with a minimum purchase of 3 dozen. (email for pricing, only serious buyers)

For any questions or inquiries, please email me at jaymegat@hotmail.com

If product is in stock... they will be shipped out next day.

This car is awesome... I've looked at microsizers, bit char-g, digi-q, z-cars, bullet oem, kg racers, and ir racers, by far this is the best for price and functionality.

This may be off topic, I recently bought myself the 3.0 bit racer motor for my char-g! the first day it broke! the brushes inside came into contact too much... i found this out by taking it apart... the brushes of the motor were in too much contact with the aperture(the rod thingy in the middle)... i bent em back... I then put it back together and my car zoooooms!!!! i mean this thing really hauls! it is much faster than the normal 3.0 and way way way faster than my 1.0... on my pool table if i go near to full speed and make a right turn, it flips over! has anyone else had the problem of the 3.0 motors crappin out on em? me and my friend both had the same problem till i figured out what it was... I will try to post some vids soon because i never knew my bit char-g could go so fast... its amazing!

Anyone have any ideas what I could do?

This is your problem. Your bit char-g has a frequency of 27MHz. You are having problems w/ interference. Almost every radioshack car, phone, etc. is 27MHz.

I have question about the 2 speed "turbo" cars are they any faster then the others and is there even a difference between pushing the boost button or not any replies will be greatly aprecciated.

Kleverboy

With the "turbo" button depressed, the car is as fast as any other Bit Char-G with the same size motor/gear combo.

The advantage with the 2speed cars are actually their SLOWER speed. :-O Allow me to explain. Without the turbo button pushed down, the on-board circuit in the car rapidly *pulses* electricity to the motor instead of giving it full voltage. WHen the button is pushed down, full voltage is given to the motor instead.

This allows the driver to race along the straights at "turbo" power and then just remove the extra throttle, but still keep the forward button pushed, to navigate tight corners. The difference in handling is amazing - a MUST for tight-circuit racing.

Hope that helps
